ready, set, go…

That’s pretty much how I have been feeling the last few days, ready…set….go!

I signed up for an achievement boot camp and I tell ya the motivation I got from following some of the outline was amazing.  The first thing I did with this boot camp was public state what I wanted to achieve.  I have a fair bit that I want to achieve so I had to break it down even more so that I could put it in sections so that I wouldn’t get overwhelmed.

One of the things I had on my achievement was to set up my web site for blogging.  I had been blogging a bit here and there however it didn’t seem professional, i didn’t know how to get it for other people to see,  when i would try to find it on the web i couldn’t even find my blog so it wasn’t really going anywhere.  It was important to me to get it out there because I wanted to work on my creativity and start putting little bits of the book I am going to write (another goal achievement) out there for feedback.  So for me a web site seemed like the most logical and sensible step, problem being is that I am not very tech savvy and had no idea what the heck I was to do.

I posted for some help in a group that I am in and a few people had suggestions, however, most of what they were saying seemed like a differently language to me that I did not understand at all. I then moved along to the wonderful world of web.  As my husband and I looked up sites he came across one that I thought would be easy enough for me to follow 🙂

let me tell you this guy is the bomb.  The steps were easy to follow, he has videos and if you want to advance and do more he has sections for that.  if I had questions there was live chat and if the live chat wasn’t available then he would get back to me quickly via email. This has to be one of the best experiences I have ever had.. from the time I posted that I wanted to set up my site and asked for help, to getting it set up was less than 24 hour, not bad for a non techy.

I still have lots to do to my site and am learning as I go, however, I have to tell you I am pretty impressed with myself( toot toot).
